i have used dvd decryptor to read and write everybodys golf and when i boot it all i get is a black screen and the playstation makes whirring noises (not clicks or bad sonds just whirring). what am i doing wrong?!

What speed did you write the game? What kind of DVD's did you use?

i wrote it at 4x if i remember correctly. there only cheap media. i thought if i used cheap media it would just affect quality not the whole loading issue

Are you using DVD+R's or DVD-R's and what version is your Ps2?

I have the same problem with X-Men legends II, it just stay black and no sound, except the one from the lens.


media used:

memorex DVD-R at 4X

Taiyo Yuden at 4x

tried with 7 or 8 times with no luck :(

no, you should try some quality media. Cheap and
no name brands just do not work well. And Memorex are
horrible. Plus the stress out your laser over time.
Philips,TDK,Verbatim,Ritek,Taiyo Yuden
I have had no problems with the 8X DVD-R
I did not have good luck with +R but some others have.
Depends on your PS2 and what it likes to read better.

and what method do you use to load your back up games?

im using swap magic along with the slide tool, im just gonna go and make a purcahse of some verbatim dvd-r
