I just got my Qoob Pro chip, and I was under the impression you could dump your new bios AND applications, backgrounds, etc. However the official Qoob Flasher only loads .gcb files. Is there a Win application I should be using?
Or do all the apps out there use the network connection?
Does anybody have a guide to all the different file extensions for my education? (.vgc .gci .dol .m1v .etc)
Get the cracked Qoob Flasher on modthatcube. It'll let you flash to the first bank on the Qoob Pro so you don't have to load 1.0 everytime you boot.
Also, to flash files with different extensions than the one that it looks for by default, there's a drop down menu that allows you to select the other type of files.
vgc - Viper GameCube
dol - application
m1v - Qoob background
gcb - Qoob bios
mvi - Qoob background
elf - Qoob uses it to upgrade from one bios to another. Not sure what it represents though.
gcm - GameCube image
Great! Thanks, Venom, for the extensions. I didn't know I needed the cracked version of the flasher. Makes sense. I guess Qoob developers just cover their butts in every direction for liability reasons.
As I recall, the normal ones can't flash the first bank of the chip. That's why I said to get the cracked flasher since it can flash and dump any of the banks.
