Ok so far I know that mod chips allow only burnt PS2 games to be played but are there any at all that allow both burnt and original games?

no, ANY mod chip should still allow originals to be played. even the mods that aren't chips like the fliptop cover, you just dont do the swap with the boot discs and load the original as you normally would on an unmodded system.

I am using the Matrix Infinity HomeBrew updated to version 1.54.

If I boot up normally it will play any copy DVD or CD game.

If I press start for a while, the chip will disable, I then press reset with genuine game in place and it boots up the original with no problem.

So there are chips that play both, I have one, and to answer your question, get a Matrix Infinity. This disable also allows you to play online, unlike many other chips.

Are you in UK or US, if UK I will recommend a fitting service that is total quality and very fast.

Acutally I'm in Australia and basically know nothing about where on earth you'd get mod chips or swap disks for that matter!

The Mtrix Infinity web site does not list any official resellers in your area, but I am sure they could help direct you to somewhere if emailed.

That would only leave the small problem of getting it fitted, unless you where to order a premodded unit and pay the shipping costs.

I would have thought Hong Kong would be the best place outside Australia if you can't find anywhere inside the country.
