I just bought some great blanks from this shop http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/

They dispatched same day (if ordered before 3pm) and I got it today (next working day)

I got 2 lots of 25 pack verbatim 8x(taiyo yuden media code TYG02, actually can burn at 12x in my NEC ND3520A burner with latest firmware. and 1 50 pack of ridisc xtreme 8x(Ritek media code RITEKG05) all for £29 including next working day delivery.
They do very good prices for latest burners too if you need one and have the firmware updates on site too.

Hope this has helped some people

Oh, by the way..

It works out cheaper the more discs you get obviously because of the postage costs. But for 100 discs £29 isn't bad at all.

I usually get my blanks from ebuyer.com, but they don't get the riteks anymore for some reason.
So, I was looking around for a more reliable source and these guys are the sh£t... well impressed with the variety of discs they have and stuff.

Today I flashed the latest firmware for all 3 of my dvd drives too.. one of which was already on this site, the others I had to look around a bit for. Not much difference to the NEC ND3520A.. (now an AW)version 3.05, but think it might have allowed for -DL writing maybe???
With the other 2 drives there is a definite difference in the reading speeds... especially the liteon LDW.. it used to sometimes spin-down while reading to about 4x.. now it's a bit more constant at about 8-16x most of the time.

I think I'll stick with using these guys for a while... can't seem to find yudens at many places in the UK for some reason.

Yep, as with my first post the best place I've found (searched a bit more since yesterday) is the blank disc shop. They offer taiyo yuden brand discs.. but are quite expensive or verbatim taiyo yudens, which I think are the better value to get.
Everywhere I looked the yudens were around £43 per 100 discs...and didn't include postage either, so you're looking at around £48 for 100 discs.. which still isn't bad I guess at around 50p per disc. But I prefer to get a bit better value than that so go for the riteks or verbatim yudens.
