hey!

sent my ps2 V7 with modchip to repair and they couldn't solve it :( major problems are with purple dvd games(at the rapair store they told me that purple backup up dvds worked at times)... can't make one to load. played some old cd games just. also loaded swap magic.. i've tried these dvds: tdk, memorex, verbatim, sony and fuji. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

is it possible to play without a laser in ps2? with hdd?? transfer games from another ps2/pc and play from hdd?? do you need a laser to play from hdd? if so, what do i need it??

thx in advance!

eyes on the ball & give your best shot !!!

it depends what kind of mod chip you have. if you are able to boot to your hard drive directly, using hdd devolution mode (dms 4 chips)tour in luck. it would still be a huge hassle though. you'd need to install some sort of os (hdd explorer) on your hd, by borrowing a friends ps2 and putting your hd in it. then you would have to set up your pc to ftp to your ps2, and then send iso's to your ps2 over the hdl dumb server, this will also take forever, i believe you can add games to your hd by plugging it in to your pc. your better off just buying a new ps2 (get a used old one) and putting a mod chip in that. or just buying a new laser.
