First you need an Action replay or a USB device that works on the PS2, if you can get that you need to install ELFlaunger on your MC (memory card) but heres how it works. first you need to program ELFlauncher to boot up putting in a certain PS1 disk (ex. crash bandicoot, Castlevania, streetfighter alpha 2, point black 3, etc.) when you put this game in with your PS2 MC in the first slot, the ELFlauncher will automaticly boot up. from there put your USB in the PS2 again to then put HDloader.ELF in your memory card (suggest you put it on a shortcut, by pressing one of the buttons instead of searching for it) and Presto your HDloader is up and running, and no need to remove the CD after words either so no worries there.

PS. go http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=elfs here for all your haxes. helped me a bunch.
