xodash file not transfering

ok here's the deal my friends xbox will not reinstall his backup and yes i have given him a brand new backup that i know works but there is one problem and i have narrowed it down to the xodash file. The audio file within the xodash is the ONLY file not copying over on cute ftp pro or straight off of a cd-rw every time i try to transfer it just won't. does anybody else have this problem and if so do you know how to fix it?
