disk id util run off hdd explorer?

i recently went on a hdd explorer install rampage after figring out how to write the install scripts, i'm having some trouble with getting disk id util on there, first i couldnt find the .elf file in the iso, but i read online that .00 file is the same thing, so i extracted SLES_666.00 changed it to .elf wrote the script and installed it, but when i tun it, all i get a black screen, a little jitter with a random streak popping up, and then i'm transfered to the playstation browser. i'm running dms explorer off a dms 4 lite chip with the hdd devolution mode. does anyone know how to put disk id util on a hard drive? or if there is another elf out there.
