back sensor on ps2 slimline broken, can anyone help?

hi there, i was fixing my ps2 slimline so it could play with the lid open, but now the sensor at the back has come loose (the button that you pushed down to activate the senson has come off) and the casing of it which holds that button in place has also come off.

basically the plastic stuff has come off surrounding it and it wont work anymore, i tried pushing something against the gold bit where the plastic button would press against but it doesnt seem to be starting.

if anyone has had this problem and has a fix for it, would be much appreciated, thanks

I am having the same problem. I tried a little model glue in the middle of the bottom of teh sensor and tried to stick it back on the board... I go the cd to spin up and it worked but it is not steady.

I think we can just get a conductive pen and connect two of those solder points, but I am not sure which ones to connect. All that reset button is is an ON OFF switch, so if we can figure out which solder points would be ON, it should work. Has anyone tried this?
