Is it possible for the first few frames of a movie to be interlaced and the rest be progressive? What does it mean when you hit f5 in dvd2Avi and it says interlaced then changes to progressive. also, do you always have to convert 29 fps to 23 fps ? can anyone give me an up to date ripping guide. the one im using is obviously out of date. new to this so any help will be very very greatly appreciated .

To be honest, i never convert 29 to 23, in 90% of the times, you always get A/V sync problems, especialy if you do a VideoCD, I use regular NTSC in all my backups, and it works great and no A/V syncs
