Every game i tried to back up so far have faild to play in my PS2.I Swap Magic v3. and have followed the back-up guides carefully step by step (including changing the Dummy file for some games, tried using Nero, DVDdecryptor and NTI gold for burning the ISO file but it didn't work for the games Armored Core Nine Breaker and Suikoden III and always kept getting the same PS2 message straight away "Not A Valid PS2 format Disk." all the time. Then i decided to burn files without rebuilding the ISO with no luck.
The Media I have used so far are Sony DVD-RW, Philps-R, Ridisk DVD-R.
I must have wasted about 25 DVDs and lots of time!-tried lots of burning options but always burnt at 4X or 1X.
give me the name of the game u are tryin to copy! And by the way DVD-RW copied games dont work. only dvd-r/dvd+r work. i think the problem is with ur swap magic CD. can u plz tell me the steps you take when u want to pla the copied game. i might be able to help. thanks!
Also what are you using with Swap Magic?
a fliptop (aftermarket, not the one on the slim)
or a slidecard?
If you have no idea what i am talking about then i can tell
you that is why your games won't work.
I use Philips 8X DVD-R all the time and have done many, many, many
successful back ups with them and DVD Decrypter
Also have you tried updating the firmware on your burner, if
there is one available. Even if it is new there could be an
update for it. this will help a lot in media compatibility
and getting a good burn.
Just search the net for your model number,
like DRU-700A Firmware
The game is Armored Core Nine Breaker, also other games but all failed to back up. As soon the Swap Magic V.3 screen load up and using the slide tool, then change Swap disk with my back up and select PAL as I have a PAL version don't know about the game? and press X. Then allmost immediatly the note "Not a valid PS2 Disk appears"! all the time.
I'll try the update but my DVDRW LG i bought 2 months ago it is very new!
Do u think DVD-R or DVD+R makes a different cause i tried Philips DVD+R not -R?
