alright so i just bought swapmagic v3.6 with the flip top cover for my ps2. i have NERO 6 ULTRA EDITION, and a TOSHIBA 2X DVD WRITER. does anybody have any suggestions for a good DVD-R and an explanation of how i can start backing up ps2 games easily. thanks.

you have done the hard part by getting the right mods

1> start with and older game going to cause you less hassle to start with the a new game

2> download dvd decripter

3> put ps2 disk in drive
open dvd decripter
on tool bar
mode/iso/read
eject disk
insert a blank dvd (a good one)
mode/iso/read
broswe for the iso you made
hit the burn button
wait 10 - 15 min
load swap magic bla bla bla
bingo ur playing ur backup

try to use only high quality discs such as Tayio Yuden or verbatim dvdr. If you use discs like memorex or imation you will have freezing/black screen problems

thanks alot. where can i get taiyo yuden dvd-r's? are these dvd-r's expensive? does the fact that i only have a 2X dvd writer cause a problem?

well walmart sells the verbatim disc,i only found lighscribe since i have hp duallayer lightscribe dvdr dvdrw cdr drive,

They have a sale I think of a 100 pack for $28

These are the best and highst rated dvdr out there. a few bux extra is worth it because I have never had a problem with them and if you search this forum or the net you will find that any studies done on them say the same thing.
