evoX dashboard same as official xbox dashboard?

I have problems with my aladdin advance XT modchip,
EvoX boots up but then the normal xbox dashboard appears, the only features my xbox got extra thanks to the modchip is that it can read burned DVD's.
I can't get an EvoX dashboard to start up.
I also can't FTP games from my PC to my Xbox, because therefore I need an EvoX dashboard.
and I can't acces any of the other features, accept read burned games.

u need to unlock ur hard drive to ftp

yes I know, but before I even touch the HDD it should be able to boot an evoX dashboard, or shouldn't it?

my xbox was able to read burnt dvd's prior to being modded...so i think maybe you didn't gain anything

ok if it can read burnt discs then i recomend downloading the autoinstaller v2.0 or what ever versions the newest then u will be able to install evox and a buttload of other programs....

Goto xbins and get slayers auto installer 2.6 is the newest one. It will give you a bittorent file so you need to get a bittorent client if you do not already have one there is one under software and P2P applications in the software section of this site.

he could just make a boot disk by doing this:
1. dvd-rw
2. put the evox files on it
3. make isp
4. burn
5. boot it in the xbox
