Installed fliptop, lots of noise.

Hey. I installed a fliptop a few weeks ago and whenever I boot with swap magic v3.6 the console starts making a really loud noise and carrys over while playing backups. It sounds like its trying alot harder to read the disk than normal. Non-backup games play fine and are quiet as a mouse.

Is this normal? I'm using Philips DVD+R, and burning with Nero.

Mine had more to do with the white CD/DVD magnet(the thing that locks them onto the drive and keeps it spining off) was touching the lid so I put alil pice of black tape on it and that helped me

Thanks alot, after some investigation I forgot to swich out the white thingy with the one fromt he playstation and there was no magnet there to hold the disc in place. Thanks again.

I got mine out of the PS2 drive top *L*
I have 2 or 3....oy I shoudol have just bought a new slim line with what I went thru to build a V9 one >> *L*
