Ok, so I straight read/write Jak X Combat Racing and when I put it in the PS2 sent me to the memory card screen and special booting it the screen just stayed black. I have a PSTwo slimline and Swap Magic 3.3. It was advised to me to try to rebuild so I went to the sticky and followed the directions and here is what happened. I opened the JAKX.iso with ISOBuster and in Track 1 there was an iso JakX and udf JakX option. Both folders had the same things in them so I assumed I only needed one and extracted to my C:\. Then I opened the JakX file folder and did a search for any files with the word DUMMY in them, nothing came up. I then opened CD_DVD-ROM Generator hit create a new project, DVD-ROM Master Disc and placed the files in there in the same order as they came up in ISO Buster. After all is said and done in my C:\ I now have f4.000, f4.001, f4.002, f4.003, f4.004, f4.IML, f4.ims, f4.LST. Then I bring up the Dos Command and go to the desktop directory and type in "copy /b f4.000 + f4.001 + f4.002 + f4.003 + f4.004 f4.iso" without quotation marks. AT that point I get "The system cannot find the file specified" so I figure it is in the C:\ so I put in "copy /c f4.000 + f4.001 + f4.002 + f4.003 + f4.004 f4.iso" and that time I get "The syntax of the command is incorrect". I also tried the same thing in the C:\> and I get the same errors as before. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Or give me adive? Anything would be much appreciated.

What media are you using? I backed up Jak X without rebuilding. SM 3.3 and a Fujifilm disc.

Good luck

TDK DVD-R is what I am using. My PS2 seems to like it best even more so than Ritek

Well for a start there's not supposed to be a space between copy/b... and the reason it won't work when you try copy/c is that it isn't a command. you should type in "copy/b f4.000 + f4.001" etc.

Don't know if this game needs rebuilding as I haven't got it... but as you're already nearly done can't hurt to finish it.

What speed do you usually write at? and what program?

WHen I straight read and write I use only DVD Decrypter. For patches or anything like that, I use Alcohol 120%. I burn at the slowest speed possible which is usually 2x.

Ok I finished with the rebuild. I did both the way above and the Nero way. Both give me the not a valid PS2 disc in Swap Magic. So 3 frisbees so far. I will try to burn with Alcohol 120% the iso ripped from DVD Decrypter. I also have a few Sony DVD-Rs lying around so I will try a different media. Any other suggestions would be good.
