♠What u need♠
◘-Torx wrenches
◘-Two Xboxes(broken & new)
◘-Box cutter(or something simmiler)
◘-Wax paper
◘-nailpollish remover
◘-Cottonballs
_____________
Step 1
*make shure all power cords and controllers are unpluged*
Flip your brand new xbox over and dab some nale pollish remover on the stickers(only remove the barcode and the one with the silver one) and carfully pull them away and store them on the wax paper.(if the labels on the xbox ar damaged the store wont refund it)
Step 2.
Remove the feet with the box cutter without damaging them(if the feet loose thier stick u can glue them back on later). Use the torx wrench to remove the screws under the four feet and the two labels. Flip the box back over and slide the top cover off. The first thing you will see is the hdd and dvd-drive side by side. Remove the ide cable(big & grey) from the back of teh hard drive.
Unscrew the torx screw set between the hdd and dvd drive. You may now slowly remove the hdd out of the xbox.
Step 3.
Start by removing the ide cable from the back of the dvd drive. There are two screws on each side of the dvd drive which you must be removed. Once you have removed the two screws carefully lift up and remove the yellow wires from the back of the dvd drive, and remove the drive. You now have access to the motherboard.
Step 4.
Unscrew the eleven screws scattered throughout the motherboard. Carefully and slowly side forward will lifting the motherbourd upwards untill it is free of the magnetic case. DO NOT remove the powerboard unless u absolutly have to. do not touch the power wells, they will shock the hell out of you even if your box is unpluged.
Step 5.
Repeat for broken xbox and simply put the new parts into the old xbox and the new xbox gets the broken parts.
Step 6.
Replace stickers and feet on bothe xboxes and return the xbox with the broken parts to the store for a full refund.
