metal gear solid 2 - sequence (or something ?) was 6.4 gigs or something close to that !!

There isnt very many dual layer games out there. God of War, GT4, Metal Gear Solid Sneak Eater(I think) and possibly a few others. The way you can tell is if the game is like 6-8 gigs(actually anything over 4.7 GB but sometimes they can easily be rebuild and made smaller). Most of the time people provide ways to "squeeze" the game onto a DVD5, through special rebuilding methods.

When you rebuild games, stuff doesn't get cut out, as far as the game itself goes. I'm pretty sure it just gets rid of the dummy files that are placed there for copyright protection and such. Your not going to lose any part of the playable game.

Thats not really true...games like GT4 and God of War either have movies completely cut or downsampled(lessened quality) the stuff that gets cut out is what most people wouldnt really care about. Now when you rebuild a single layer game nothing gets cut out other than dud space in the file.
