I have question on backups..
I believe my process is not flawed, but yet the coasters flow...
I use dvd dycrypter iso read, then right at the lowest speed 1x or 2x
I use excellent media taiyo uden disk 8x max burning speed.
I have HD Advance 2.0
I have Swap Magic and the slide card

When i create these backups, they almost always have read errors when loading onto the hard drive!!!

So, does anybody else have these issues as well?

I think that im at the point of just taking original game media, and dumping it to the hard drive on the PS2, then when the drive gets full taking out the drive, and placing it into a usb external hd enclosure, and dumping the directories on my computer, and from there copying the folders onto disks...NO ISO, just the dam game folder

Is that possible?
Do i need some software on the computer?

Any help would be appreciated

I personally think burning the games to discs and playing them with swap magic is a better method than HD Advance anyways.

I have a few that work, but some won't.

Nope, i use high quality medium(verbatim, got taiyo's on the way) and rebuild games that are necessary and burn at average speeds. Everyone seems to burn at like 1x which is ridiculous, and alot of time even cause the games to load poorly. I couldnt imagine waiting an hour or more to burn a disc, thats just crazy. Mine take 10 mins tops.

It could be your burner. Maybe it's going bad. I don't know much about using the hard drives but I would say just use the swap magic if you have it. Also, are you sure your Taiyo Yuden's are real? What code do they come up as?

Well i have re-tooled the process. I burn at 8x and i seem to have much better results!!

i still would like to use the hard drive though its great, and fast!!

PS Resident Evil 4 rocks and is single layer game!!
