i backed up mortal kombat shaolin monks with the decrypter method (iso read iso write) but the games' videos stuck and don't play normally. i had the same problem before with my games' backups i cleaned the lasers and backed them up with the decrypter method and it worked just fine. does this game need rebuilding???

also how can i tell which version of swap magic is the one i have? it's either 3.2 or newer.

please let me hope that you will as always help me.

correct me if im wrong... but I think u need to rebuild this game.. or if it doesnt need to be rebuilt u just need a better media... mind u i successfully made a back up copy of this game... and I use Swap Magic 2.0 and it works for this game...

I was able to back this game up without rebuilding it and it worked just like the original (Sony DVD+R). As for the Swap Magic question, it should either have the version labeled on the disc or on the loading screen when you put it in your PS2.

I had the same problem when I tried to back it up on TDK and Ritek dvdr. Those are usually 2 of the best brands of blank media but I was hving problem with several backup games and movies. I switched to Tayio Yuden DVDR which is the best brand out there and all my problems went away.

I did not rebuild that one either.
Used Philips 8X DVD-R and it works fine.
