I have had no success using anydvd and clonedvd2 free trial.I have been using dvd shrink and dvd decryptor for 1000+ rips.I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times now with no success.Everytime i open clonedvd2, it says this dvd is copyright protected. I have changed the settings in anydvd to region 4, my region. I have also tryed dvdfabdecryptor, with no success. The demise of dvd shrink and decryptor is almost to much to bare.
I don't know what could be going on. I have absolutely no problem with them at all. I have a detailed guide for both programs in my signature. Check out the link and print it out, I am sure that it will help.
Keep us posted. Ollie the author of CloneDVD is a frequent visitor of cdfreaks.com forums. Go to the CloneDVD forum and ask him your question or explain your problem. I am sure he will assist you.
thanks for your response, i have read the guide at comcast to ensure i am doing it right.the little fox icon appears at the bottom of the screen in the tray.i have been following with interest regarding problems with shrink/decryptor.i have the latest version of both from afterdawn.i have also tryed DVD43 with dvdfabdecryptor, again with no success. The guide at comcast is very straight forward. My system is a p4 3.2ghz, i am using a Aopen dw 1616,i use ritek disks, as stated have had no problems with DVD Shrink and decryptor.no coasters from this process
9mm , i have just visited the cdfreaks website you provided in your signature, and reading through guide where i noticed " [On: 1, Off: 0, Empty: 2] when placing cursor over icon and display Revision. When i did this to my application, it showed [On: 0, Off: 0, Empty: 3]When right clicking on icon,Enable AnyDVD is ticked, as well as Autostart, could this be the problem.I have restarted my computer each time i have reinstalled.
I am not at my computer at home at the present time. I will check it out later this evening and see what my indicates. I know that I don't have the Auto start enabled on my as I don't start it unless I plan on ripping a movie.
My process is to start AnyDVD, insert a movie into my drive, watch the fox flash, then open DVDdecryptor and go to mode>File F and direct to my storage folder for the movie and click the rip button. I never have any issues doing it this way, unless it is a bad disc.
I will check out the other stuff and get back to you.
I hope you've figured out your problem by now; but just in case you haven'e try running the program in safe mode. I DO NOT MEAN RUNNING YOUR OPERATIN SYSTEM IN SAFE MODE (although if you know what you are doing this, at times, can help you figure out some problems. There are safe-mode options on some of the Slysoft/Elby programs.
