everything Glitched mentioned is right on the money, EXCEPT TDK, i would personally AVOID THEM, totally not in the same league as the aforementioned media~ :)

I was going to mention not advising TDK media. Their plus format:Definitely avoid,and the not too bad dash format has been giving members problems with all the burn logs I see.

Buying on the net: Definitely taiyo yuden/verbatim data life plus/or ritek.

Buying locally: The japanese sony/fuji/and maxell: Preferably made in japan. Lots of tys and hitachi among those in the spindles that say made in japan. Verbatim data life plus also very good.

BZiggin: What format are you looking for? plus or dash?

What's the brand name and model# of your DVD-RW drive?

Some of the quality can vary between brand names and the both formats they produce.Many different manufacturers make media for these major brand names.Quality will vary considerably between them.
