Ok, I filmed a video during a trip I did. Edited it in Premiere, exported it to raw DV-avi.
I also did a DV-avi of all the raw-tape that I filmed, just for fun.
Now, I wanted to hand out a DVD to a couple of friends, with an easy menu to select between the two video-clips.
I tried Ulead DVD Workshop 2, got a nice menu and all, but after authoring it to a DVD-image(for easy multiplying), I tested the image with Daemon-Tools. NO SOUND! I tried it on multiple computers, and nothing.
Ok, I give WinDVD Creator a shot. Got the menu(but this one was uglier), and authored it into a DVD-image, mounted with D-tools, and still no sound. In WinDVD I was able to choose what sound-format I wanted, and I put mpeg-audio.
Could the problem be with the source-files? G-Spot reports PCM Audio for the files.
I'd prefer to get Ulead to work, that seemed like a much better program. And the menu looked alot better.
If I left out some vital info, ask, and I'll try to answer.

EDIT:
I tried doing this on two separate computers, with the same result.

Ok, I tried some new stuff today, and got a bit further. I encoded the files with TMPGEnc, used DVD-lab to make menus and author it, and then UltraISO to make it into a iso-image.
Problem still exists. When the DVD auto-plays, I select Media Player Classic, and it starts, but with no sound. I check the audio-source, and it reports that there is only one channel, "English", and that it is playing from that. But no sound.

BUT, if I open the DVD and browse the .VOB files, and open them with MPC, it plays with sounds, but reports the sound-source to be "VTS_01_1.VOB / Audio". I don't feel like trying out on burning a DVD just to try, since it seems obvious that it wouldn't work on a standalone player.
How can I get it to do it right from the start?
