I've created a movie of Heroes and Leaders for a school project and would like to know how I can save it to a CD OR a DVD. Saving the movie in high quality format has provided better quality, but larger size.
Could someone please give me easy step-by-step instructions on how to create a CD or DVD for playing on any standard PC or DVD?
Hi and welcome to AD.If your file is in excess of the normal DVD5 you can reduce it to fit using a program called DVD Shrink, it's pretty fool proof. Ome of the more knowlegable members ScubaPete has a guide you might like to print out and follow. You can find his guide at http://www.dvdplusvideo.com just click on this link. You can also download DVD Shrink from this link, follow Petes guide to the letter. Good luck. BTW you can also burn using DVD Decrypter also free on this link.
CDr isnt an option for you as the file is to large. What format is it currently in?
My suggestion is for you to burn it to a DVD9 disc, a dual layered disc will handle the lack of compression that people are attempting you to use.You will get the quality you want with out compromising anything
Thanks all, for the instructions. The movie maker file has been saved as an AVI file.
When I open DVD Decrypter, OR DVD Shrink 3.5.4.0, it doesn't "recognize" the AVI file on my extra hard drive.
How can I get either one to recognize the file so I can "shrink" it? I do back up copies of DVD movies I own all the time using DVD Shrink and/or DVD Decrypter, but this project has me puzzled.
Okay, took y'all's advice and downloaded/installed the free version of DivXDVD. Am "encoding" right now. I take it that once it's encoded, I can use DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter to create a DVD or CD? Is that correct? OR, am I missing a step?
Here's an older version of DivxToDVD..its a little faster and has no watermark. A point made by andmerr, you wont be able to use a CD it will have to be a DVD.
http://download2.vso-software.fr/vsoDivxToDVD_free_setup.exe Almost there, good luck.
Sorry, just checked that link and it appears to be out of service.
