DMS4 EZI Lite Solderless Mod Chip E.Z.I.

Any down side to this one?
I'd rather not solder the PS2 even tho I have a backup V9 board,its just has smaller points than the PSX ><

If you decide on DMS4, I'd highly recommend getting the Pro version over the Lite version. It's only $10 more, but it's well worth it since you can flash ToxicOS and HDD support onto the chip. You can boot games off the HD without requiring a HD Loader boot disc.

I have a solderless DMS4 Pro installed and I haven't run into any major problems with it yet.

alot of people bend/break the dsp chip legs when installing the clips , this could kill the ps2 if you are not carefull .

the pro ver has HDD support ooooo that I didnt know

kinda , because you can use a hdd with any chip . not just dms . in fact you can use 1 with out a chip ... it just has a app preinserted in there os upgrade , this can be added to a mem card the same way with any chip that has dev support like matrix , crystal ect....

I think it's less hassle having the HDD support on the chip itself instead of installing it to a memcard. I dunno, I've never tried installing and running anything off my memory card because I never needed to.

you have to put it on the chip via cdr the same way you put it on a mem card .

I am useing Swap magic 3 ,and moives love to skip.

Did some tweaking and adjusted the level on the drive (the lil white things or in my case 1)
No skiping if ever noticed that its overheating some the double pads might be cuseing it ..mmmmmm
I have half a mind to ount a 80/80 comp fan on it...MA AJHHAHAHAAHAHAh 0-o
