I know this may sound stupid to a lot of people but i have a question about mod chips. I know you need them to play burnt games on a ps2. But where can you get them? About how much are they? And how do you install them?

or do an install once you get a chip
they may even sell them, i am looking into that one.

you want a DMS4 Pro or Lite or a Matrix Infinity
there are many reasons i will not list but those are by far the
2 best chips. they run around $55 for a good one. I would not suggest you attempt to install it yourself unless you are top notch
with a soldering iron. There are 17 tiny wires that have to be soldered just right to the motherboard. see below


if you do not want to go that route you can just get flip top and
a set of Swap Magic discs, usually around $35-$40 for a
package deal to get both.

yea thanx 4 that info, but i got 1 more ?.... i no that you can copy ps2 discs and use them on your PS2 if you have a mod chip. But is there anyway u can get your computer to play ps2 games. Copiied or normal?

Not really, the PS2 emulators out there are just not that good.
You may get a couple to work, but not many.
