Hi guys I have a bunch of dvds from my collection that I have backed up and they are all ready to go on my burnt discs and I want to make more copies of them currently I am using CloneDVD but it has to encode the files or whatever everytime I want to burn isn't there a way or a program since I have 2 dvd burning drives in my computer and burn straight over to another disc without doing anything to the original disc so It wont take so long. Thanks for your help guys.

BigBalin,
If I read your question properly then all you want to do is make a copy of a copy. That is a Diskcopy and Nero can do it or most burning programs can. Put one original in DVD-Rom and blank disk in burner and copy it

I use Nero for copy on the fly. I also have sonic, but takes 5 minutes longer for some unknown reason. Just about any burn program with the disc copy feature should be able to.Takes about 15 minutes for me using my nero6 oem and 100% success rate.

If you have too many errors on those backups, they will be more difficult to copy on the fly. This is where the:Quality of media/too fast burn speed/and the quality of your DVD-RW drive that first burned those backups that you plan on re-copying.

If the original copy is of good quality - copying on the fly (disc copy)works well most of the time.

However, my preferred method is to re-rip the copy to hard drive with DVD Decrypter and then burn with Nero.

An extra step, but it will pick up problems that may have emerged with the original copy.

Besides the OTF burning on my main pc,I also do dvd decrypter in ISO read and write on my old 598mhz p3 celeron with 128 mbs of RIMM. This is an effective/quicker than dvd shrink option and takes only 5 mins to rip and 15 mins to burn using this method in that limited spec, single optical drive maching. The dvd shrink/nero combo takes 30 mins to produce another re-ripped copy burned at 4x.

Of all my re-rips,the overall best playable, least amount of errors is the combination of dvd shrink and burn with nero just like I perform on the majority of my backups. It is 4/5 mins slower than OTF,no enhancements needed, and less riskier than OTF.

I have seen a few of my family players having a more difficult time with my ISO read and write mode dvd decrypter backups. The OTF backups seem to be working great,I'll have to compare scans.

That's 3 options someone has if they want to re-copy their backups, just make sure that first backup quality is the best possible backup that you make.It will be easier to re-rip,later down the road if necessary. My 2 cents worth!
