is it the more pass you make, the better quality it is compare the quality that has only 1 pass with same bitrate? can you explain why? Thx.

The way I understand the process is that when you run two passes the first pass generates a stats file instead of a real avi. This stats file is then analyzed by the second pass to figure out the optimal way to encode the AVI and still make it close to the projected file size. Someone once told me you were more likely to hit your target file size using 2 pass over one pass but I don't know the validity of it.

The more passes the better the quality but after 6 pass the quality wont improve anymore apparently. I've never actually went over 6 though!
