Entered code and it`s staying on screen is it suppose to register automatic on the phone or do u have to press a key to enter code.Never done this b4 so not sure how to enter code

Thx m8 code worked first attempt.But at to enter code with my valid sim card inserted.So with the nokia 3220 u need to have the valid sim in it while u enter code thx again phone unlocked.

psx, yes definitely locked I think. Phones work's OK with my vodafone SIM in it, and comes up locked when I try the missus's O2 card. Any more ideas ?

Yes, sounds locked to me too. Firstly what message came up when you entered the codes, did you notice?(don't enter the code again to find out, you only have a total of 5 wrong tries before you have to unlock it with a cable)also is there any chance that this fone originated from somewhere else on vodafone?(have you had it from new)
Has the fone had codes entered wrongly before or is it just the 2 we have tried?

Yes I had the phone from new, was my old work phone.
On turning on I get phone restricted message with an udo button. Click the undo gives a "Enter restriction code:" message. I've probably now had at least 5 goes, am I now in cable country ?
Presume that's just my local friendly phone shop who can do this ?

When I removed the SIM card, it says "insert SIM card" on the screen, but there is no other option to enter the code, all I see os "clear" on the bottom left.
