Hi kind people - back again. Don't know if I'm right or not, still got questions. Here is my proposed format for backing up movies that "DVD Shrink" says "Encountered an error -------etc.
1) open DVD Decrypter and from the "Mode" menu select "ISO" then "Read".
2) Place Movie in DVD Drive
3) Notice where "DVD Decrypter" is going to save the File.
4) Click on the big "Decrypt" button.
5) After it finishes take out the Movies from the DVD Drive.
HERE is where I get confused.. I think I wan't to open up DVD Shrink and close out DVD Decrypter. HOW (What are the steps) to use "DVD Shrink" and get my movie from the place where it was downloaded to into DVD Shrink"? I realize that my movie has to be shrunk, this is my reason for going to DVD Shrink and finishing out from there.
Is this a correct way to go?? ronnies

That is the ISO mode in dvd decrypter. This mode is for a 1:1 copy. This means no compression is performed.

This mode is for Dvd-9 originals to dual layer blank media or the lower budget Dvd5 movies onto single layer blanks.

You want the File mode since it sounds like you are using a blank single layer disc, compression is needed. Open dvd decrypter up and rip in File mode to hard drive. Keep track of that folder name and where it goes. After about 8-10 minutes,it will be on your hard drive-but a huge folder, close out and then open up dvd shrink. Click Open files Icon on top, find the ISO files for that movie and click ok.

Dvd shrink will then open up the movie files, and backup entire disc or re-author for main movie only.

Here's a guide to help you out:

Double check your backup options.
