I have some Samsung Bealls, and I have a few coasters to go along with them.. Are they bad for DVD copying? How about Ritek??? I have heard some good things about Ritek, but they were cheaper than the samsungs I just purchased.. Thanks...

I just recently purchased a few of the BeAlls. So far I've burned 3 with my Cendyne (rebaged Pioneer A05). Here are my reults:

Disc 1: RecordNow Max 4.5 - Coaster only readable in my DVD-RW drive nothing else.
Disc 2: ImageTools 1.00.2 - Plays fine in both standalones and my dvd-rom drive.
Disc 3: ImageTools 1.00.2 - Also seems to play fine with my stand alones and dvd-rom drive although I didn't play it all the way through

Try using ImageTools to burn with, you will need to have Nero Burning Rom installed as well at least 5.5.9.14 or better to use it.

If you don't speak German just scroll down to the bottom and look for "Hier klicken zum Download" click that to download.

Cool, I dont speak enough German, but I will give it a try. I actually use Instant Copy now alot for most DVD's, that program is a life saver! Here is what I have found with my Bealls..
I copied and burned the Sopranos Season 1 disk 1-3 with no problems. Disk 4 was a coaster and I am a little afraid to try another. I did manage to burn disk 4 onto a RW and it works and the image that coasted was from the RW.
I copied Star Trek TNG Season 1 disk 1, but while I was encoding it took an usually long time. It burned correctly to a RW, but when I tried several times to put it to a DVD-R it would finish and say successful, but wouldnt play in PC or stand alone. It wouldnt even read in the PC!
I was beginning to think that Star TRek didnt agree with the Samsungs, but then I tried Disk 2 (which had no problems encoding) and it worked first shot.. Im still skeptical, but I will keep trying!
