Okay so i backed up my THAW game and it freezes on the Hollywood part of the game.Every other part loads fine and all but Hollywood nothing.Its driving me crazy.Oh and also when im playing that backup the controller goes crazy all of a sudden:the analog light starts blinking,the controller somehow shuts itself up,controllers shuts down when i grind.WTF IS HAPPENING!!!!???And the damn thing is that my cat f'up my original(started using my disk as a scratching post...damn cat).I burned it on a memorex 8x DVD-R(it has worked flawlessly with all my backups,even GTA:San Andreas).Im thinking on reburning it on a Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim DVD-R but i dont have any,gotta go get some.So anyway,if anyone knows of a patch,rebuild whatever,PLZZZZ,LET ME KNOW!!!!THIS IS DRIVING ME OUTTA MY MIND!!!!Oh and i almost forgot,i use Swap Magic 3.6 and a V12 PS2.So please...HELP ME OUT!!!

use use taiyo yuden. they own verbatim and they're so cheap (cheaper than verbatims)

I didnt say i pirated anything, just saying it really shouldnt matter how he obtained it. I dont care if he straight stole it from the store, he came here to ask questions on backing it up. Your take on pirating and personal beliefs is really un-needed. I dont know im not trying to start a flame war just think its silly how you constantly accuse people of pirating games when in the end it really doesnt matter.

btw i found the main problem
ya use memorex media which most likely is cmc mag. just awful media for games.

Okay your reasoning is really poor but anyhow. No one can really say whos pirating what, so forth and so on. I just try to not worry about it and pretend as if there always speaking of original copies. Piracy is an issue that is always gonna exist and is very hard to eliminate/prevent.

1)i didnt pirate it(i legally bought it)its just that i left it out in the open and my frikin cat started scratching on it and f'ed it up.
2)memorex has always worked for me but i guess ill try taiyo yuden
3)where do they sell taiyo yudens for a low price?

memorex will work but they'll kill your laser 20x faster than normal.

i put mine on my ps2 hd and boot it with patched hd loader. it crashes very often, so i just save often. my point is, if "hollywood" works on hd loader, than there should be less problems than i have when using swap magic. sounds like a bad burn.

also, most,(i'd say 90%), retail stores WILL NOT accept returned cds, dvds, games, etc. because of copyright laws.

Yeh,they will let you exchange it,and if they tell you they cant they are lieing.
They will even let you return them if you raise enough hell.

okay,i just started demanding for them to exchange the game and "nada".Those A-holes are lying....i got in to so much trouble in the store they kicked me out...damn big retail stores employees that do whatever there f'ing told.

they can't do that, if you have the recipt you can take it back, by law.and they have to exchange or give you a refund.

well know i no why those a-holes wouldnt exchange my game...they have a f'ing policy that states:"Videos games cannot be returned after their open".I just found out today bcuz my mom told me after reading this post.I dont know if they have that policy over there but since i live in Puerto Rico and those big retail chains are greedy and full 'o shiat i cant return the game.>:-<

well i live in th UK and that is the law here, i dont know what the laws are in Puerto Rico but if they wont let you get a refund can you trade it in for cash at another store?
thats stupid that you cant refund if the game is opened, becasue you have to open it to actualy play the game and make sure it's good. how can you find out if it's good enough it you cant open it? lol

Video Games cannot be RETURNED FOR A REFUND,but they CAN be exchanged.(If you are exchanging the game for the same thing how can you be pirating it)

thats what im trying to f'ing do for the last 2 days but they wont accept it.and as for trading it i cant hence the disk is SOOOO f'ed up cuz my stupid cat i doesnt even play,AND they do test the games over here before trading soooo yeah....i cant,but back to the point of this tread.Well i just found out that hollywood isnt the only one that freezes,east LA and another place i cant remember name freeze.I guess the problem is the media,but mayb its a bad burn but i burned at 4x and didnt even touch the computer while it was burning so i dont know.any help would be good.
