I am trying to burn w/ Nero 5.5.9.0 But my version for some reason won't let me select DVD media as an option...only allows CD burning....is this version wrong...or am I doing something stupid?

Try this:
Open up Nero application.
File tab / Preferences / Expert Features Tab
Enable Image Recorder for all recorder formats needs to be checked off.
Close and reopen application.
DVD option should be enabled now.
