i recently tried decrypting kung fu hustle so i could have the film on my pc but it has some sort of protection which will not allow me to decrypt! does anyone know how i could get around this problem.

Been awhile since I did Kung Fu Hustle. I definitley used AnyDVD with either Shrink or Nero Recode. I'm pretty sure the last version of decrypter 3.5.4.0 handles this disc. Are you using the last version?
Another prog that's like decrypter but still updated is DVDFab Decrypter. You can dl it from aD.

i had the same problem tonight and dvdfab decrypter express worked then used dvd shirk to shrink it 4.5gb...DVD Decrypter and AnyDVD wouldn't have it..altough AnyDVD seemed to do more of it before it gave up

I'm struggling with this one.

DVD Shrink wouln't even anaylse the disk]

Decrypter and Iso buster both struggled too.

I'll think about Antdvd too

any other suggestions ?

Try DVDFab Decrypter - it's like decrypter but is still updated.

Hey guys i had every problem you could think of with this film including the start of the film skiping to chapter 10 or something even though dvd fab platnum said it was 100% converted.But the good news is i got it ripped, i ended up using AnyDVD and shrink 3.2. Works fine, If it helps im running amd 4400x2 1 gig ram and a pioneer 109.

i've managed to use the latest dvd decyrpter to decypt kung fu hustle from a red disc with DVD43 but when i use DVD Shrink with the file i get an insufficient memory message does anyone know why this is i have plenty of hard drive space available, i've done a few of these red discs using the same method before without any problems.

Another member is having this same problem with a 'red' Kung Fu Hustle - here's a link but no answer to the problem yet.

My suggestions to try are:
if you did the full disc re rip movie only and try shrink again
try dvdfab decrypter(like dvd decrypter) and then use shrink
download a 21 free trial of AnyDVD and clonedvd2 - try these two.
I now remember I did this movie (region 1) w/ shrink and AnyDVD because Recode locked up on this movie.
