I kept getting this "session fixation error using my TDK DVD-Rs...

I bought Memorex (CMAG) and it burned successfully! I then found this great site and discovered that they really suck. So I brought those back went to Best Buy and bought Fuji. They only had the Fuji MIT, but I thought I would take my chances they ended up being the FUJIFILM03, but they didn't work.

I then went to Office Depot and bought their brand and they were:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:RITEKG05]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R]
Manufacturer Name : [Ritek Corp.]
Manufacturer ID : [RITEKG05]
Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[ DVD Identifier V4.2.0 - http://DVD.Identifier.CDfreaks.com ]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

These didn't work either!!!!!

What's going on? Why is it that the MemoSux are the only ones working? A weird sidenote is the MemoSux were PLUS the rest were Minus (I wonder if my burner all of a sudden can't write to MINUS). Another intersting thing is with the Fuji and OD that didn't work I don't get the same "Session Fixation Error" I just get "Write Error".

Should I use the MemoSux or try a brand like Verbatim (sale at BB tomorrow)?

Thanks, but my burner is capable of both +/-. My firmware is up to date. I just don't get it, why does the crappy DVD burn and the good ones don't?

TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B TS04 (ATA), It's a Samsung.

I am kind of in a pickle. I want to re-format my computer (my burner worked fine since I bougth my cpu (Jan 05) up until this week. I want to see if it goes back to factory settings if it will work better. My CPU has also been running slow (ran diskeeper, Spybot, Ad-Aware) and I just think it's time to re-format, but I can't back anything up with my DVD burner so I can't.

I have a 2 year extended warranty for my computer from Circuit City, do burner's usually fall under the warranty? I am tempted to drop it on their counter and demand they fix it or replace it with a new one (I like the 2nd).

Could I have see your Nero Log, assuming that is what you were using. That is probably where your prob is. The log should be in:

Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.

I jsut want the last section of it. You can tell the sections apart b/c by this thing:

====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======

I want everything under that.
