yes u can.an un modded ps2 can play burned movies. seens you have +rs search for an article that explains booktyping the bitsetting.open dvd decrytor and look under disc id and see if its a relabeled disc. It might be a certian brand but actually be made by a different company.

awesome...thanks...also...my dvd recorder on my laptop says "RW" and says "DVD Multi Recorder"...does that mean it can only record on blank DVD+RW discs or would it be able to burn on DVD+R? i tried using a couple programs like Alcohol 120% to burn a movie onto one of the discs, but every time i tried it would recognize the disc, meaning on the screen it would say "blank DVD+R" as the device, but at the top of the box it would say to "please insert a blank disc"...i also have tried dragging files into the folder for the blank DVD+R disc when i put it in, so that i could use the disc for data, but it says there is an error every time during the transfer. i dont know whats wrong, please help. any possible problems and solutions would be greatly appreciated...

i would find out the model burner you have and search online
you should have no problem finding out which media types
that it will burn. But movies should work just fine on RW discs
games will not.
They are just a bit more expensive. I would get DVD Shrink
it is much better and more versitile. It is made for doing movies.
and if you plan on doing a lot then go out and buy these 2
AnyDVD and CloneDVD2, these are fantastic programs.By Slysoft.
CloneDVD2 will copy them, and AnyDVD removes the protections
from the disc so you can do it.

DVD Shrink is free and will work just fine though.
But it will run into problems with some movie due to the protection
issue.

thanks alot...that really helped...k, and i figured out that i have a dvd burner that supports DVD+ and -RW, meaning i should be able to burn DVD+R movies...o, and by the way, i need help burning downloaded movies such as AVI and mpeg...i have seen converting programs but i was wondeing if anyone had any suggestions on programs where u can take the movies and burn them onto a disc, besides Alcohol 120%, that doesnt seem to work for me for some reason...i need a program where i can take like the actual file without ever inserting an actual dvd disc into the computer and burning the file onto a DVD+R disc for viewing on my dvd player or ps2...please give me some suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated...
