Here is my problem

I get static from all 5 of my speakers whenever I select a surround sound setting (prologic,virtual surround, etc), but when I select stereo I get no static. It only does it on the Analog mode however on Digital mode I get no static on every setting. My dvd player only works in Analog mode for some reason and won't accept a digital signal. Even when nothing is plugged in to the reciever and I just select Analog Mode I get static. I have tried singling out the speakers to see which was causing it and that did not work. I have tried resetting the microprocessor and that did not work as well.

I am using all the default wires that came with my speakers except for my center speaker which is using a monster cable. I do not think this is the problem because when I test the tone on all 5 speakers in setup it comes out fine.

Also I don't think its interference from other appliances because I have already tried shutting off all electronics in my room except for the TV, DVD player and the reciever.

Any tips or help will be greatly appreaciated
