Has anyone else experienced this?
I have burned about 10 movies so far using dvd shrink and dvd decryptor, and every single one has this problem;
The movie copy's perfect, and play back is perfect except for this, if I pause the movie at any point, and then un-pause it, the audio goes out of sync. I have to hit pause a couple of times, then the audio comes back in-sync.
Anyones know why this is happening?
I'm using a lg-4167 dvd burner, a pent.4 2.6gh processor computer.
Thanks for your help
Dana
Remember that the audio streams are multiplexed in with the video streams so this is probably just a quirk in your player. There is really no way they can go out of sync through the incorrect use of Shrink or Decrypter.
I used to have the same thing happen to me when I backed up movies. I found out it was the BRAND of dvd. Not all dvd discs work in all burners. For my burners only HP, PHILIPS works. If you look for your burners homepage on the net they most likely will tell what brand works best, if not experiment with different brands and try to keep burn speed to 4x at most...
HP? really? I always thought HP was horrible. If you decide to experiment w/ diff media then use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or RiData. Fuji and Sony are fine if they are made in japan.
Like stated by others, sounds like a quirk in the player or brand of disks. Try your disks in a different player and if you have a friend that burns disks try theirs in your player. Process of elimination?.
There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading; The few who learn by observation;
The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves...
The reason I said HP was to show that not everything is for every body. I use HP & PHILIPS for movies but found that Philips only works for my PS2 & XBOX games all "+" on my Lite On. EXPERIMENT its the only way to find what works best.
Thanks for all your help and advise everyone, I am using a genertic brand of DVD-R discs.perhaps that is where the problem lies, and i only burn at 4x max. I will try a different brand of discs or see what the manufact. of my burner suggests for blank discs.
Thanks again
Dana
