Greetings all:

I'm having problems writing to my cd-r drive ever since I installed a dvd-r drive. I have since removed the dvd-r drive and re-installed the aspi drivers but still doesnt work. It will go through the entire process and then it hangs up during the last 5 seconds (finalizing disc). Same place every time (5 seconds remaining).

Anyway, I dont like XP, espically the way it writes files to cd-rw, it copies to a temp folder, creates a disc image file, then burns. A very lengthy and senseless process. It also does not support Easy CD Creator's DirectCD. So... Im going to switch operating systems.

Finally my question: Does windows 2000 use this same technique? and will it support DirectCD where I can just format the CD-RW and cut and paste files to it or will I need to go back to Windows ME?

Thanks in advance for your input.
