first of all, hello to all, this is an awesome site.OK, i'm looking on buying a modchip for my PSTwo v13(scph-70001). I know the DMS4 & Matrix Infinity (about $50 dollars each)are good but I also saw 2 other chips, the Neo-Magic & the MODBO v2.0 (both priced about $20 dollars each), are these any good? I saw them @ mod-chip.com

thanks

No. If you want a cheap modchip that works well, go with the Magic Duo2SE. It's about $20 and works much better than a modbo or magic chip.

First of all Duo2 SE does not work on V13 consoles, you can go with H20 chip, it works great on V13 consoles.

Yeah you're right, my bad. I'll take your word for it, the Duo2SE only works on v.1-10, damned brain farts.

I'm not positive the DMS 4 Pro and Matrix Infinity are compatible with the v.13. They may be, it's just most places I've seen list them as working with v.1-12: http://teammodders.com/ps2_mc.php?ex=2 Then again, they work with the v.12 slim, so why wouldn't they work with v.13? A couple others I believe work with the v.13 are the Fire 2 and Ripper IV. I have no idea if those are any good. If the Matrix Infinity and DMS 4 work with the v.13 slim, go with those. They both auto boot everything, no swapping or resetting. They cost a little more but are worth it. After installation you'll be looking at $100-110. My v.5 PS2 is off getting modded with a DMS 4 Pro at teammodders.com as we speak.
