Burning a .mdf file for a psone game (J)

Okay Im new here and just need to burn a psone game that I have. DDR 3rd mix Import. I have a modchip and all and downloaded Clonecd. There are 2 files that I could possibly burn which are are a .mdf file which is big and a smaller file .mds
Are these the right things to burn? because they are the only files I have and got them off a download. I burned the first file only using clone cd at 1x but it won't work. So do I need to burn both files to a cd-r? And if so how could I do that
