Hello
Hello
:)

Yes I do have Nero 6

But I also have Pinnacle Studio 9

And I have Ulead SE Studio 8

Was wondering if you guys have any comparative experience using Studio9 Vs. the latest Ulead for good stable Video Editing

I seem to like Ulead Studio 8 - wonder if the latest FULL version is better then Pinnacle's Studio 9 or 10?

Thanx
Minion

Are you talking about "Ulead Video Studio 8" or
"Ulead Media Studio 8"???

If you are talking about "Ulead Video studio 8" then "Pinnacle Studio 9" is probably a Bit better but if you are Talking about the New "Ulead Media Studio Pro 8" then pinnacle Studio 9 doesn"t even come Close, It isn"t even in the same league....

Pinnacle Studio 9 and Ulead video studio 8 are Basic Consumer oriented editors and cost less than $100, were "Ulead Media Studio pro 8" is a professinal Level editor that can do so Much more than any consumer Editing program can and at over $500 it sure better do more......

I personally Like "Sony Vegas Video 6" for editing as it is a Fast editor with lots of features and is a Lot easier to learn than other High end professinal editors Like Adobe premier Pro or Pinnacle Liquid Edition 6.5.....

I actually Just Picked up the Full Version of Pinnacle Studio v10.0 which seems to have a Lot more to it than version 9 as it is over 3.0gb but I haven"t had a Chance to install it yet so i don"t know if it is any good.....

One of the Better Under $100 video editors is one called "MagiX Movie Edit Pro v10" which is actually only $50 but it has as many Features as editors 10 times it"s price....

Hey Minion

Thanx for the reply!

Yes well I think I can conclude a few things here:
Pinnacle Studio 9 seems to be about par with Ulead Studio 8?
Except I think Ulead is a nicer program. Pinnacle Studio 9's rendering capability is very unstable (especially when inserting stills in the video overlay track). And Studio 9's pan and zoom are inferior compared to Ulead Studio 8.

*That's actually one reason I may want to get the newer
Ulead Studio 9. Although I did have a question regarding Ulead's HDV capabilty. The sofware is adverised as supporting HDV thru a plug in for Sony's HDR-HC1. I suppose this is EXCLUSIVE to the Sony HDR-HC1, and perhaps not applicable to any other HDV Cam Corder's??

'MagiX Movie Edit Pro v10' appears to be strictly a beginers (easy 123 type of software)

And how bout comparing 'Sony Vegas Video 6' to Ulead's 'Media Studio Pro': http://www.ulead.com/msp/runme.htm

Any other thoughts?
Thanx again
