making a music file ring as a ring tone
i have converted the file to 32kb/s and when i assign the mp3 file to as the ring tone it doesn't want to ring that way

Without knowing what fone u have, all i can say is

Make sure your ringtone style (i.e. Loud Soft etc.) is selected and in the DETAILS under that style you've selected the proper ringtone for the type of call you're getting...(calls, data, fax, etc.)

Other'n that dunno wot to tell ya.

It is possible your ringtone isn't formatted correctly, but if that's the case check out my "Hundreds of Ringtones" post and grab one there, you'll prolly find the ringtone u want on there anyway.

i have a v180 i can play the song from the phone when i select my media but when i apply it to a ring tone it doesn't ring the song i selected

If you've checked the things I mentioned above, then we're out of my league bro...I don't own the phone and couldn't pick one out of a lineup...

I used 32kbs-48kbs and mono for V180, worked just fine. Used the same mp3's in my v3 and it worked too.
