hi there,
can someone plz help me. i am trying to rebuild xenosaga episode 1 using the 3 disc rip kit, but cant get it to work. from what i understand from reading other posts on this i have to extract the contents of both layers using apache 2 into the same folder called Xeno. and in the same directory i have the rip kit folder and i run go.bat from there. now i have used apache to extract the files to a single folder but when i run go.bat i just get errors saying the system could not find the file specified and then iml2iso pops up. i try go through that but it only outputs an iso of 600kb. can someone please help

anyone got any ideas on this. the main problem now is not the sound but the voices are out of synch with the animations and subs during cut scenes, by about a second ???

Wow interesting conversation your having here with yourself, and err yourself lol. Try burning at 4x. what kind of DVD-R's are you using? You realize when you rebuild DVD-9 to DVD-5, some things get taken out like movie files and extras, right?

using verbatim DVD-R. burning at 4x with Nero. to be honest xenosaga is so cutscene intensive id rather burn it as a dual layer game if there was a way to play it as a DVD-9 game.the movies are all there so far its just the voice is out of synch and its really annoying

Verbatims are high quality. The only way to boot a DVD-9 game without rebuilding, is with a modchip that has DVD-9 support like the Matrix Infinity or DMS 4, or with HD Advance 3.0.

Yeah unfortunately Swap Magic doesn't support DVD-9 games. You could look into a modchip like the Matrix Infinity or DMS 4: http://teammodders.com/ps2_mc.php?ex=2 I just got my PS2 chipped with a Matrix Infinity. With those babies you'd never have to rebuild or shrink a DVD-9 game to DVD-5. Your media is fine. Verbatim is good quality. Here's a DVD Shrink guide: http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id4.html#DVD%20Shrink
