Hi, I've read that the matrix infinity and dms4 are really good, hence the most costly. But what is a good, reliable modchip to just play imports/backups on a fat ps2? Are Duo2 SE and Mars reliable?

Sorry also looking for a chip which doesn't need a swap disk, just boots automatically.

Go with the DMS4 for your PS2 - I have a V10 with a DMS4 and it works flawlessly. The other two chips you mentioned are not worth the money even though they are cheaper than the DMS4.

Duo2 SE or H20 Chip is a good chip if you just want to play backups, they are also very stable and low budget chips
