Which version better for MODDING?

Which PS2 would be better to mod with a DMS 4 Pro, v4, v7, v8, or v10 and why? I have all 4 version and 1 DMS 4 Pro and just wanted to know the ups and downs of the different versions. All 4 PS2's are in perfect working condition so thats not a factor. I know the version 7 has the less common sanyo open face laser but is that good or bad?Well if its bad then the lens changer app would take care off that problem. The v10 has to have the Romeo mod done, not really a problem. Version 4 i heard is hard to mod, but why? Version 8 is the Japan version, but is their any problems with that one. So which one do you guys think would be my best choice?

i say the V7, the is widely considered the best version
PS2 made. I am sure it will work with any of them though.
I had one put in an old V5 with a new laser and it works better
than my new slim PSTwo does. I would not do the V4 as it is not
compatible with both +R and -R media types.
but any of the later versions should work great

I only said v7, because many people have succesfully installed the DMS 4 Pro in this machine, and most of the people i know have a V7 with either infinity chips or dms chips in them, you have to look at what the majority of people have done and see if they have problems, v10 is also okay.
