long ago before i had a burner i'd rip a movie on my computer in chapters rather than the 1gb method. so i'd end up with over 20 chapters or how much the movie had. i'd rip the movie with just the .vobs, vts_01_0.ifo, vts_01.d2v, vts_01.idx and vts_01.lst no .bup files. just one .ifo file. i didn't know what it was at the time since i just added all the vobs in powerdvd and watched it from the pc. now that i have a burner i have a problem with that movie i ripped. so anyway, i tried joining all those vobs/chapters into 1gb files. ended up with say, 3 1gb sized vobs (each vob was 1gb - that's the way its joined in vobedit) - so i continue to the next step by opening ifoedit to create brand new .ifo and .bup files... it does the whole "Processing source VOB VTS_01_1.VOB" thing, it finishes the last vob and pops up with an error; "could not find any vob unit in vob file(s)" - not one person has told me what it means. i am clueless with this. i think it's cause of the way the movie was ripped? having just one .ifo ripped from the movie might have stuffed the vobs a bit (they play fine though) - i tried ripping a movie with all the bup and ifo files - everything - that obviously worked cause it loaded in dvdshrink and analyzed cause it had all the files needed. then i ripped the same movie the same way mentioned above, with these files i dont even know what they do; .vob files, vts_01_0.ifo, vts_01.d2v, vts_01.idx and vts_01.lst no .bup files. as i thought, didn't work. so am i right here? is it the way i've ripped the movie that won't allow me to create ifo's for it from ifoedit? and can i somehow edit the vobs and fix it so i CAN create ifo's? cause i got a few movies sitting here that i want to burn. the dvds are at my brothers house who lives on the otherside of the world. he took it with him. sorry for long post. any ideas?
