I just backed up my Madden 06 for ps2. I tried playing but I noticed a huge delay between plays. It freezes on me for about 6-10 seconds and it sound like the PS2 is struggling. The original plays just fine. The audio is also on a long delay. I backed up on FujiFilm (made in taiwan). I know the disc sucks but its all I had. My question is, Is this bad copy because of the crappy disc or is it something else?

it could be a number of reasons. one could be that u copied it at a too fast of rate. try the slowest like 2x or 1X. i burn backups on 2X and it works fine for me.it could be the media especially if u try to use DVD+R instead of DVD-R. DVD-R works the best. the game may need a rebuild, i had a same problem with Juiced for ps2. if u search in this section on the forums ull find answers on the best media and rebuilding games.

Yes, it is most likely the DVD's
EA Sports games give people fits and seem to cause
many people problems. Personally i have had none with them
but i have seen many people who have.
Get some good media and give it another go.
Save the Fuji DVD's for doing movies which i am sure will work
just fine on them.

I've read those links before. Thanks though. I don't understand the whole rebuilding thing yet. I don't understand when it's needed. I have to do some more reading.THANKS.
