First off, yes I am a noobie, but I have searched and havn't yet found a clear answer. Here goes, I have a pstwo (slim)/with fliptop, swapmagic disks 3.6, and an Archos av 340 modded to 100gb that I want to use to put backups on.

Swap magic faq mention that if I want to put a backup on USB hard disk, to put it in a folder named swapmagic and rename the .elf file to swapmagic.elf and this backup will boot direct.

1) has anyone succesfully done this?
2) Will it work with any size backup ie dvd9 copied to usb hard disk?

As a secondary question will a logitech (pc) force feedback usb wheel work with a ps2?

Am I the only one trying to use swapmagic with an external drive? So far I have had great results backing up my games by burning them but I would really prefer having them on an external HDD.
