Nothing to cheap. And use -r as most read those better. I would recommend Ritek or Memorex. I use both and never have problems.

dude i will never recommend memorex it might seen good just wait till it fxck up your laser

i strongly recommend the japan sony DVD+R or japan fuji DVD+R which are TYGG02 or the Verbatim DVD+R MCC003

and personlly i don't like the Ritek.

stop hoping, start loving.

You may not personally like Ritek but does that mean they are no good?

Memorex used to be good, until about a year ago when they decided to start using a different dye on their disks. Now the xbox drives are having a tough time reading the data....or they won't read at all.

I have been using smartbuy -R's for the past while with no probelms. And yeah, some people don't like ritek or ridata, but they have proven themselves to being a stable brand for xbox games.

Again, with sony (I noticed you mention only the japanese models) you have to watch for the lots....it's kinda the same story that memorex did. They aren't using a constant dye for their disks. Some slip through and you'll end up with a spindle of useless disks if you're not careful.

I will agree with the Verbatim's...they are again another stable brand to use.

PS Memorex disk have never ruined a laser on any of the boxes that I have done. I'm not saying that they won't but the fact that MS have put out some crappy dvd drives might have more to do with it that the disks itself. ANY backup is going to put strain on the dvd drive.

Ya he's probably right, I haven't made disc copies in over a year since I have had huge hard drives. I do know that finalizing the disc helps your laser last though.
All the backup sellers on BST-secure.com use ritek and they all unanimously agree they are the best.

what is this BST-secure.com website? What is it all about? Also thankyou for the replies to some of my questions. Now I know that Ritek is a good choice for xbox backup games.

BST-Secure is the elite of the elite Buy/Sell/Trade forums. Virtually scammer free, due to the requirements of joining. You have to be referred by two members that have done business with you, and have been members over a year. And the refer you knowing that if you scam someone and get banned, they get banned. So referalls are few and far between. Some people wait over a year to get in. Best prices and selection of computer/console hardware. Plus they have some weird loophole where you can sell "backups" of games and dvd's, just not pc-software.
