In attempting to back-up Star Wars 3, I get this message when I try to encode the files.

Step by step, here's waht I did. I copied the disc from my E drive to a folder so that I could have all the data without first compressing it. Then I use the 'Open Files' button in DVDShrink. The video previews as I author the files are all green and blocky. Then when I hit the 'Back It Up' button, I get that error message.

I don't have access to the DVD right now either, I lent it to my brother and I won't see him for another 2 weeks. Do I have to wait until I get the dvd back and start over?

What did you use to rip the files to your hard drive?

Check out the guide in my signature block by bbmayo on using DVDdecrypter and DVDShrink. If you follow them you should be able to get this going.

I am not sure about the encryption blocks on this movie as I have not done it yet. I know that others have used AnyDVD or DVDFab with success, but I think you need the disc.

Someone else will pipe in here in a bit.
